European Drone Industry: Terra Drone and Skytools Create Rotterdam Drone Hub

Japan’s global drone services powerhouse, Terra Drone, has invested in Dutch drone services company Skytools to create a major European drone hub in Rotterdam.  The new venture will include drone training facilities and a research and development center.

Terra Drone Corporation provides commercial clients with end to end drone solutions, and is rapidly gaining market share around the world through strategic partnerships and investments.  Skytools is a leading Dutch company that offers a wide range of drone equipment: with the training and tools required to get a European drone program off the ground.  “Skytools serves a wide range of corporate clients in industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Engineering, Utilities, etc. as well as a wide range of governmental clients,” says a press release.

Skytools’ experience in the European drone market provides valuable leverage in creating a major drone hub.  The company is already engaged with clients on implementing new European drone regulations; they are also engaged in Research and Development projects for fully automated drones and remotely operated drones. Terra Drone’s investment and collaboration will provide them with new offerings and new power to expand. “Services such as survey, inspection, or surveillance will be developed further collaborating together with Terra Drone Europe and Terra Inspectioneering also having offices in The Netherlands,” says the release. “Skytools will also start providing military-grade fixed wings from C-Astral a Terra Drone group company in Slovenia. There will also be a dedicated focus on the expansion of the business throughout Europe and worldwide collaborating with the Terra Drone group companies around the globe.”
