Flying FLIR’s Black Hornet

Just 6.6 inches long, it may look like a toy, but the Black Hornet is a serious tool for U.S. soldiers. It can fly for 25 minutes with a range of 1.24 miles. The unit has swappable batteries and can handle light rain and winds gusting over 20mph. The camera resolution is does not rival anything cinematic with 640×480 video and 1600×1200 stills, but it does have thermal imaging capabilities.
